We want to be a big presence, in a big community, making a big impact in the world.

History

The vision for Stone’s Throw began in the summer of 2009 out of Glasgow Church. Rather than start a small church plant, several hundred people from the Glasgow campus committed to be a part of the effort to be led by Pastor Dan Betters. Soft launching in Middletown on April 11, 2010 the first worship gathering was held at the church's first home, Appoquinimink High School. Our public launch happened September 12, 2010.

Community Groups

Community Groups are smaller groups that meet in people's home throughout the week that serve as the foundation of discipleship at Stone's Throw. It's the vision of the church that all members would be a part of one. We strive to be a church about discipleship rather than programs. You can find more information at the Community Group page or in the main lobby at every Sunday gathering.



We want to reach unchurched and dechurched people, tell them about Jesus, and mobilize them to change the world for Christ.
