Community is the way we act out our mission throughout the week.
Community is a common word in our vocabulary, but too often it refers simply to a neighborhood or geographical place. In our view, community is the idea that relationships matter. At Stone's Throw this is a primary focus that we are dedicated to. We do this in two major ways:
Community Groups
Gathering weekly for fellowship and accountability, study and prayer, through happy times and sad, Community Groups are the embodiment of community at Stone's Throw. They are a place where people are accepted and accept others, are loved and love others, are shepherded and shepherd others, are encouraged and encourage others, are forgiven and forgive, and are served and serve others. They are the small groups that make up the church. more info »
The City
The City is our online community. Rather than serving to replace real-world community, the purpose of The City is to enhance actual relationships within the church. We use it to share prayer requests, announce events, schedule volunteers, get people plugged in, and more. It is a tool that allows us to take better care of our people, and to help them take care of one another. more info »
